LEVEL UP WITH SOTA!
We’re looking for industry leaders to coach our amazing client base and keep up with our growth.
SOTA needs trainers who can deliver an outstanding workout experience to everyone who walks through our doors. SOTA Certified Personal Trainers are responsible for leading pre-programmed strength and HIIT classes for up to 20 clients and conducting individualized 1-on-1 personal training sessions.
This position requires a strong ability to coach and manage time, motivating multiple clients in a class setting and practicing top-level customer service to our clients.
STEP 1/3: READ THROUGH ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, SKILLS, & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop strong rapport with clients, greeting each (by name!) as they enter and exit the studio
Exude confidence, poise, and presence during personal training and group sessions
Deliver pre-programmed workouts to groups of up to 20 members
Energize and motivate members throughout class sessions
Build class attendance and retain current members through exceptional customer service
Ensure safety of clientele by means of exercise technique and mechanics
Provide options and challenges for specific exercises to accommodate various skill levels
Attend weekly fitness staff meetings
Handle member concerns when applicable
Must be a self-starter
Must be willing to go the extra mile for our clients
Must be a cheerleader at heart but a drill sergeant at execution
Must love working with individuals of ALL fitness levels
Must be comfortable giving sweaty high fives
Must ALWAYS be on time!
Nutrition experience a plus but not necessary
Bachelor's degree in an exercise related field is preferred; must have a strong working knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
Must hold current fitness certification / personal trainer certification from a SOTA fitness approved education company such as ACSM, ACE, NASM, NSCA, AFAA, or NFPT
Must hold current CPR/AED Certification
Qualified applicants will have 1+ years of experience teaching groups or personal training in the fitness industry
Must have excellent communication and customer attention skills
Starting out, SOTA personal trainers and class instructors earn $20-50/hour training
